1. Controller

Alexander Plewa, Berlin, Germany
Email: a.plewa@outlook.de

2. Hosting

This website runs on a server of 1blu GmbH, Riedemannweg 60, 13627 Berlin, Germany. All connections are encrypted via TLS (HTTPS).

3. Server log files

When you visit this website, the web server automatically records: IP address, date and time, requested file, HTTP status code, amount of data transferred, the previously visited page (referrer), and browser and operating system.

This is necessary to run the website securely and reliably. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Log files are deleted automatically after 14 days.

4. Analytics with Umami

To understand how the website is used, I run the open-source software Umami on the same server. No data is shared with third parties, and Umami does not use cookies.

Umami records: visited stations and actions on the site (e.g. "career station viewed", "email copied"), referrer, browser, operating system, device type, screen size, language, and the approximate country, region and city derived from the IP address.

Umami does not store your IP address. To count visits, it creates a hash from the IP address, the browser identifier and a regularly changing random value, which does not allow anyone to identify you.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in improving the website). If your browser sends a "Do Not Track" signal, no analytics data is collected.

5. Local storage in your browser

The website saves your settings (sound, CRT effect) and your game progress (visited stations, cleared quests) in your browser's local storage. This data never leaves your device and is only used for features you actively use (Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). You can delete it at any time in your browser settings.

6. Fonts

All fonts are hosted on this server. There is no connection to Google or any other font provider.

7. Contact by email

If you email me, I process your details to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). The data is deleted once it is no longer needed for that purpose.

8. Your rights

Just send me an email to exercise these rights. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin, Germany.
